The Position
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include preparation of proposals, project planning, scheduling, allocation of personnel and resources, budgeting, overall supervision of project personnel, reporting, and regular communication with clients.
- Responsible for invoicing clients on a monthly basis unless an alternative payment schedule is specifically requested by the client and agreed upon by the group leader and/or department manager.
- Responsible for retention of existing clients and acquisition of new clients.
- Responsible for following AllRock’s health and safety policies and procedures and applicable government legislations.
- Accountable for revenue, costs, and profitability of projects under his/her management.
- As required, the project manager will participate in projects in a technical capacity, including:
- Performing various types of construction materials testing.
- Receiving and logging in of samples, calibration and overseeing maintenance of equipment.
- Independent field reviews of various stages of civil construction.
- Report writing and technical interpretation of specifications and drawings.
- The project manager will provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior AllRock personnel in accordance with his/her knowledge base.
- Create technical reviews and provide recommendations regarding designs and reports prepared by consulting engineers.
- Collaborate with other AllRock service lines on multi-service projects.
- Travel, shiftwork, and overtime may be required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing updates on project status, negotiating contracts, and offering technical support.
- Establish and oversee quality control procedures to ensure precision and reliability in geotechnical analyses and reports, following industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications
- P. Eng. Certification is required.
- Civil or Geotechnical, Technician or Technologist Diploma, or similar.
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree (Minimum requirement is a college diploma and related experience).
- 5+ years relevant experience in Materials Engineering, Construction, or other related fields.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- CCIL – Concrete and Asphalt Certification.

- Superior organizational and communication skills are essential.

- Familiarity with federal and provincial environmental legislation and regulations.
- A high level of integrity and pride in quality work is imperative.
- Proven technical writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
